|
Dropsy
|
Fish are bloated and the scales stick out from the body in a "pinecone" effect.
Treatment: Warm water (70 F - 75 F) and add
MelaFix.
Any temperature change in the water will case this to reoccur and it also
appears in later stages of bacterial infections. |

be put to Sleep.
A Humane way of doing this is to place the fish in a
Plastic Bag with Water
and put it in the Freezer.

bacterial infections. Treatment:
Dimilin

every 30 to 60 days. The lice will be eradicated anywhere from a few days to a few
weeks.
|
Flukes (Gyrodactylus and Daclylogyrus) |

flashing, gasping at the surface, frayed fins and death.
Flukes in gills and on the fish precede most ulcers.
Treatment: F.L.A.W

Ulcers and Fin Rot (bacterial disease)
|
Starts out on koi and goldfish as a white pimple and then widens to a large
hole or ulcer. Treatment: It is important to treat this in its early stages. Keep the
affected fish in a quarantine tank of salted water at the rate of 0.3%,
